There is just so much to say about Jessi and Kyle‘s day that I’m not sure where to start. These are two people who are truly made exactly for one another. Their friends and family gathered last Saturday on the most PERFECT fall day in Maryland and everyone had an incredible time celebrating Jessi and Kyle’s new chapter in life together. The ceremony took place in the front yard of Jessi’s childhood home, and the reception was held in their backyard overlooking the Patuxent River. Absolutely no detail was spared! Because Jessi and Kyle first connected as kids, it was so cool reading their love and breakup letters hung on the fence. They named each table after a special thing or event in their relationship, so each table had particular significance and gave guests an extra glimpse inside their history together. The ceremony site had these awesome origami birds hanging from the trees, which added something really special to their ceremony. Plus, they wrote their own vows, and since Dustin and I just exchanged our own written vows 2 weeks prior, it made this ceremony extra emotional. The evening continued into flat out one of the best dance parties EVER! They even had Golden Chicken delivered later in the evening!
Congratulations Jessi and Kyle. I really and truly LOVE you both and am overwhelmed with gratitude to have been a part of your day and your story. I can’t wait to see all that life has in store for you two together!

Something SO amazing about having a second photographer? Shots like the one above and below. The same moment. Two different images. A huge thanks to Nick for shooting with me Saturday!

Jessi and Kyle also did a lantern release once it got dark. This was probably one of the coolest things I’ve EVER seen, and the wind was so perfect that night that it carried the lanterns right over the river. Amazing!

Although I have deep roots in Maryland where I grew up, I am absolutely in love with all things southern. I live on a farm in a small town in South Carolina with my handsome husband, my beautiful step-son, our two yellow lab fur-kids, and three spoiled horses. My blog is a journal of sorts. It’s where I can share all about the things I love so much: my family, our life together, and of course all of the amazing and wonderful people and pets whose story I get to tell.
