Old Wide Awake Plantation Wedding: Kristi & Michael

I’m honestly not quite sure how to find the words to say how much I love Kristi and Michael and their love, so this will probably be shorter than I wish. I knew their wedding was going to be so genuine and emotional when I met them for their engagement session in February, but I didn’t know how amazing the day truly would be. Kristi and Michael embody the real meaning of soul mates. Their relationship has been so centered on faith since day one and that’s a beautiful thing to watch join together for the rest of their lives.
The entire day worked out so beautifully. There was a threat of rain, but the sky never opened. The temperatures were perfect, Kristi and Michael were so calm and relaxed, and their ceremony was incredible. The reception was a stellar good time with amazing food, good music, and they even had a DOUBLE RAINBOW! Who see’s that on their wedding day?! Amazing! I was also fortunate to have my good friend Dana Cubbage along to shoot with me, so a big thanks to Dana as well.
Enjoy some of my favorites from the day. To the new Mr. and Mrs. McGowan, I am so grateful to have made two amazing new friends in you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness and funny faces from Michael :) I can’t wait to see the incredible things you two do together as husband and wife!
