Annapolis Bay Wedding: Lindsey & Chris

Categories: Weddings.

Yesterday I blogged about their gorgeous wedding album that will be making it’s way up to them later today, and you were probably wondering, who are Lindsey and Chris? Lindsey and Chris are AWESOME. They hired me as their wedding photographer when I had NO experience. They looked at my portfolio of portrait work, got to know me, and completely trusted me to document one of the biggest days of their lives…with no prior wedding experience. Yup. Call them crazy, that’s fine. They’re completely sane, I can assure you of that! They’re just that incredible!

Fortunately I had another awesome couple, Maile and Archie, who ended up booking me for a wedding the month before Lindsey and Chris’s, so technically on the day of I had one wedding under my belt, which makes M & A equally as awesome for trusting me in the same way. So 2011 was the year of two really amazing clients who trusted me 100% and allowed me to take part in two super special days that I will never forget.

Moving on, Lindsey and Chris were married on 10.22.11 on an absolutely perfectly warm fall day in North Beach, Md. Although they’d had plenty of the unexpected come up in the weeks prior to the wedding, the actual day went off without a hitch.

If your unfamiliar with the Chesapeake Beach/North Beach area, it’s such a cute little coastal town that sits right on the Chesapeake Bay. Since Lindsey and Chris grew up in the area, now live in North Beach, and have family and friends that all live close by, it was only fitting to hold all of the festivities smack in the middle of “home.” Just my kind of wedding :) And to make it even better, one of my best friends, Blaize, came out to second shoot for me. She was such a huge help!

The girls got ready at Lindsey’s parents house about 3 miles from the ceremony site, while the guys got ready at Chris’s brothers house, which is close enough that it allowed them to walk to the ceremony. The short and sweet ceremony took place on the boardwalk in North Beach, we shot formals on the beach, did a champagne toast, and then we all made the walk down the boardwalk to a private residence where the reception was held. Talk about laid-back, fun, and relaxed :)

Lindsey and Chris were so incredibly happy to be married and their attitudes and excitement throughout the day were contagious. Just this past June they welcomed their first child, Luke, and the wedding truly was a celebration of them officially becoming a family. Now their family and friends…these two have the coolest family and friends, and the reception was such a fun party for everyone. Emotional, too, with the beautiful toasts and Lindsey’s emotional first dance with her dad as her twin sister looked on. Just all around an amazing day.

Lindsey, Chris, and Luke, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of such a special day. It truly is an honor to be able to tell the story of one of the most important days of your life, and I wish you three only the best as your family grows :)
