It’s official. My favorite time of the year has finally arrived in the south and I couldn’t be happier. Although it’s always the busiest time of the year work-wise, the dropping temperatures and leaves on the ground is the best motivation to find some time to slow down and enjoy it before it’s just really darn cold and looks barren outside. Lately I’ve been busy keeping up with the business as well as trying to re-organize our little house that was kind of taken over by everything post-wedding. Tons of extra wedding decor and lots of wonderful presents! I did a massive entire-house clean the other day and I swear there is nothing that makes me more productive and satisfied than a CLEAN house! I simplified our kitchen counters, busted out some of our new gifts and goodies, put brand new sheets on the bed, cleaned and sanitized EVERYTHING and even shampooed the carpet. Oh and yesterday I made probably the best $10 purchase EVER. A Swiffer! What have I been waiting for? Never again will I use an old-school mop.
So since today is a little chaotic and I’m going in several different directions, I’m leaving you with some images of the things that I’ve been loving lately…candles ALL over our house (meaning it smells delicious!), hot apple cider, pumpkins, getting out and enjoying the weather with the dogs, shooting a bit for me (woohoo!), the horses, and of course the incredibly warm and cozy sunset of fall. Love!

Although I have deep roots in Maryland where I grew up, I am absolutely in love with all things southern. I live on a farm in a small town in South Carolina with my handsome husband, my beautiful step-son, our two yellow lab fur-kids, and three spoiled horses. My blog is a journal of sorts. It’s where I can share all about the things I love so much: my family, our life together, and of course all of the amazing and wonderful people and pets whose story I get to tell.

I love collaborating with laid-back and down- to-earth couples who appreciate the value their wedding images will have for the rest of their lives, and I believe in unique weddings that are truly designed around two people and who they are together. I strive to create images that are emotional, organic, fresh, and genuine, but that will remain timeless twenty, thirty, or sixty years down the road. I believe in printed images, developing friendships with my clients, and having a completely relaxed and enjoyable wedding experience. Each and every story I get to tell is unique and I truly enjoy sharing all of the little pieces that together form this beautiful relationship.
I am currently booking weddings for 2013 and 2014, so please get in touch below to start the journey of documenting your love.
Love the personalized pumpkin!
