I kind of had fun shooting two of my favorite wedding books last week, and since you saw my wedding guest book option on Monday, now I get to share my luxury heirloom wedding album! I tell everyone that these albums are a dream…and they really are. They are everything I’ve always wanted to offer in a wedding album and I am consistently blown away by the quality of these books. These wedding albums are a high end and quality way to display the story of one of the most important days in a couples life. The luxury heirloom wedding album is constructed to withstand the test of time and become the first family heirloom that will be passed on for generations and generations. Really, I’m SO in love!
The luxury heirloom wedding album comes in the 10×10 size. The cover options are boundless, from vibrant colors to more rustic and natural tones. Premium leathers are available, as well as faux leathers. Luxury heirloom albums are designed very clean so to let the images be front and center in the design, and are 40 pages, or 20 spreads. This wedding book is designed with a lay flat binding (with no gutter loss), and the pages are thick and durable, yet buttery smooth. One of my all-time favorite things is the ability to embed an image in the cover, and the embossing on the cover or spine for your names and/or date. The luxury heirloom wedding album also comes complete with a beautiful presentation box. From beginning to end, these books are SO beautiful!
I’m so excited to share these pictures partly because I LOVE this personalized guest book option for my couples, and also just because I had a lot of fun taking these pictures and they are special to me, for obvious reasons :)
For our wedding last year, I always knew what I wanted to do for our guest book. I love having something very personalized that will be treasured as a keepsake, so using our engagement pictures as a backdrop for our guest book was the way to go. The pictured guest book is exactly what I offer my couples…a 10×10 hardcover book with 15 spreads (30 pages) printed on high quality satin Kodak paper, which is then mounted onto a thick substrate to ensure page durability. One of my favorite features is the binding technology that allows the book to lay completely flat and not lose any of the image in the gutter. I intentionally design these albums just like I do my wedding albums and portrait albums; so that the images do all of the talking and there are no colors, borders, or overlays to detract from the images or date the book altogether. It includes a custom photo cover that wraps around the entire back of the book. For ours, I decided to include a favorite quote and text along the binding with our wedding date and location. These details can be personalized from couple to couple so that it fits with the overall look of your wedding.
I love this book as opposed to the standard “sign on the line” guest book because this becomes yet another heirloom that will be passed on for generations and it is such a joy to look at because of the photographs. Our guests loved flipping through, finding their favorite page to sign on, and leaving a personalized note, and now we enjoy pulling this book off the shelf and reading everyone’s sweet words. These guestbooks are available as an a la carte add on for all of my couples and I am always more than happy to cart along ours to engagement sessions so that it can be seen and felt in person :)
Are you at a loss as to what to gift a favorite friend or family member? I’ve been offering Gift Certificates for quite some time but wanted to remind everyone since they make the perfect holiday gift. Gift Certificates are available in any value and are most popular for pet sessions but can also be used toward couples/engagement and high school senior sessions as well. Riley approved :)
It’s been a while since I’ve featured a product, and this is by far a client favorite. These cute little mini books are 3×3 and come in sets of 3. That’s a lot of 3 going on :) They are accordion style, which means they open and close just like an accordion does. Accordion Mini Books are perfect for displaying some of your favorite session images and they are just the right size for carrying in your pocket or purse and busting out as a little brag book to show off your furbabies or loved ones :) Most clients keep one for themselves and gift the other two to either sets of parents, grandparents, or other family members. The covers close tightly because of an embedded magnetic inside, and they also come complete with a frosted cover, keeping them safe from wear and tear however you choose to carry them.
Another pretty product on the blog for ya! This winter I replaced my old coffee table books with what was the album. Now this pretty album is your new coffee table book! Oh and of course I put Hazel and Maya ALL over it…I just couldn’t help it! :)This fancy little 8×8, 10 page book is the perfect way to display some of your favorite session images without hunkering down with the big kahuna…the KISS Album. The coffee table book is high quality and also features a custom photo wrap around cover with a personalized spine.
Your favorite 20 images are printed on a smooth-like-butter Satin Lustre paper and adhered to heavy black card stock making each page sturdy and durable. Each spread lays completely flat and features absolutely no gutter loss…so you’re never losing any of that precious image! And coffee table books are designed just like KISS albums, with lots of white space and absolutely nothing to detract from your beautiful images!
Although I have deep roots in Maryland where I grew up, I am absolutely in love with all things southern. I live on a farm in a small town in South Carolina with my handsome husband, my beautiful step-son, our two yellow lab fur-kids, and three spoiled horses. My blog is a journal of sorts. It’s where I can share all about the things I love so much: my family, our life together, and of course all of the amazing and wonderful people and pets whose story I get to tell.
I love collaborating with laid-back and down- to-earth couples who appreciate the value their wedding images will have for the rest of their lives, and I believe in unique weddings that are truly designed around two people and who they are together. I strive to create images that are emotional, organic, fresh, and genuine, but that will remain timeless twenty, thirty, or sixty years down the road. I believe in printed images, developing friendships with my clients, and having a completely relaxed and enjoyable wedding experience. Each and every story I get to tell is unique and I truly enjoy sharing all of the little pieces that together form this beautiful relationship.
I am currently booking weddings for 2013 and 2014, so please get in touch below to start the journey of documenting your love.
